Dad completed his first full week today with his chemo and radiation. He has only had diarrhea twice and the last two days has felt fine. He has quit dipping (cold turkey). YEEEEAHHHH! :) Since his eating habits before finding out about the cancer weren't the best, he's also changed up his diet to some degree. He has a harder time with this, but it attempting to eat small meals and healthier as well as foods that won't cause his stomach to get as upset.
My sister attempted to go with Dad on Wednesday to treatment and ended up leaving the Cancer Center before Dad came out. She is having a very difficult time right now dealing with the cancer, the family situations that have came up due to the cancer, etc. Please say some special prayers for her in particular as well as how we as a family can help her along the way. It's been a rough week. It's only going to get worse in the near future. Please, please, please pray for her and extended family.
It was a beautiful 70 degrees today in Elgin, Oklahoma! :) The boys were able to play outside for a bit before dinner which was a wonderful change. We just have steak and potatoes for dinner and are about to catch up on the X-Games. Enjoy your weekend.
