new news

Julie and family received good news this evening. They have ruled out the cervical cancer and pretty certain it's stage 1 uterine cancer. She goes in at 8:30 in the morning for the 2+ hours of radical hysterectomy. Thank you for your prayers earlier. God is good to take care of our every need. Please continue to pray for the surgery and all the prayer requests I listed on my last blog.

Dad went in today for his 2nd round of "tattooing". This time it was the small dots on the outside of his body where they will administer the radiation. He said it was very quick and no big deal. Mom stayed in the waiting room since a dear friend and past co-worker, Irmie, was in the waiting room. She was waiting to her port flushed out. Mom enjoyed a good, long conversation with her. They still haven't set the exact day and time for Dad's first radiation treatment, but they are supposed to be calling to let us know soon. I will post as soon as I know more.

I stayed home again today hoping to get more rest and kick this funk, however it turned out that Maddux's sitter called and he was running fever so I picked him up early in the day and spent most of the day tending to him. He has ran fever off and on, has a runny nose, watery eyes and flushed cheeks. It looks as if we may be home again tomorrow (either for sickness or weather . . . only time will tell.)

I leave you with this thought.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything with prayer and petition, present your requests before the Lord." Philippians 4:6
