I was so ready to go back to school. Unfortunately, I was still dragging from the weekend sickness I was still trying to kick. I woke up with a super sore throat and really thought that I had strep throat. In the middle of the craziness of going back to school, catching up, etc I managed to schedule a doctor appointment. Right before lunch, I received the always dreaded phone call that Maddux was throwing up yet again at the sitter's house. I thought I was going to burst into tears. I controlled myself. Then the race began to figure out who would pick up Maddux, how I was going to get to the 3 p.m. doctor appointment, who was going to get Hunter from school, who was going to stay with the boys while I was at the appointment (since Aaron goes to work right about the same time).
I was negative for strep throat, but got 2 shots (1 was an antibiotic and the other was a steroid to break up the nasal/sinus/head congestion mess.) The good news - I already feel better than I did so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that by tomorrow I will start to move back to normal. While I was at the doctor, Maddux threw up and had diarrhea with my father-in-law. Bless his soul for being such a trooper. I don't know what I would do without family. I came home to love on my boy, do laundry (sheets, clothing, etc.), clean carpet, and once again BLEACH everything! I had to call mom to get a sub for me for tomorrow since Maddux is obviously still sick. Thank goodness I have elective classes. The main class I'm starting to worry a bit about is yearbook. Those deadlines don't just go away. FUN!
Dad's day wasn't as good as his previous days. He felt sort of "icky" all day today. Mom says he isn't eating meals the way he should, which could also mean that his appetite is a bit off. Hopefully tomorrow will be better than today.
Sarah had a doctor's visit in Norman today. On her way back she picked up Chicken Express for mom and dad and is spending the night with them tonight. YUMMY! I wish our family were feeling better. Sarah's dog, Zoey, has a hurt foot and won't put any weight on it. She said she is probably going to take her to the vet some time tomorrow. Anyone who knows Sarah, knows her dog is her baby. :)
It turns out my yearbook room wasn't flooded. Thank goodness. They are saying we are going to get another huge hit of snow either late Tuesday, early Wednesday. Without saying we are officially closing school, the talk is that we should not plan on being there come Wednesday. The weeks sure do go by super fast when you aren't really at school. I can't believe we only have 3 months of school left. CRAZY. That's also only 3 months until we are planning on being Ohio! WOO HOO! On that happy note, I'm signing off . . . :)
